Crane load charts: Franna, Zoomlion and Grove
Load charts for every crane in our fleet, plus the scissor lift manuals. Check capacity against your job before you call, then let Lofty confirm the crane.
Load charts and spec sheets
Each chart is the manufacturer's rated capacity data for that crane, set out for builders, engineers and site managers planning a lift.

Zoomlion scissor lifts
- Wheeled, outdoors 6.4m
- Tracked, outdoors 8.0m
- Platform load 230 to 250kg
Sourced for major projects: the 250T Liebherr LTM 1250-5.1 load chart is ready to download (PDF). Charts for our Hino 300 crane truck (Unic 265 crane, 2T lift, 3.5T tray) and for the other project cranes up to 350T are available on request: ask us
Reading a load chart in six steps
A quick guide to getting a useful number out of a chart. The notes at the front of each chart have the full rules for that crane.
Find the radius
Radius is the horizontal distance from the centre of rotation of the crane (the centre of the front wheels on a Franna) to the centre of the hook. Measure it to where the load is picked up and where it lands, and use the bigger one.
Pick the boom length
Find the boom length that reaches over any obstacles at that radius. Where your numbers fall between two columns or rows, use the smaller capacity.
Read the capacity
Where the radius row meets the boom length column is the rated capacity in kilograms. It applies on firm, level ground with the load hanging freely.
Take off the rigging
Rated capacity includes the hook block, slings, shackles and spreader bars. Add their weight to the load, or subtract it from the chart figure, to get what you can actually lift.
Allow for articulation
On the Frannas, capacity drops once the crane is steered more than 10 degrees from straight ahead. The charts show both figures, so use the articulated one if the crane will turn with the load.
Check the ground and wind
Soft ground, slopes and wind on the load all reduce capacity, and the charts list the deration for slopes. These are the things Lofty checks on the site visit.
Load charts are for planning only. Every lift is confirmed by our crew after a site check, with a lift plan and SWMS prepared for the job.

Send us the numbers
If the chart is borderline, or you're not sure of the radius, send Lofty the load weight, a photo or plan of the site, and where the load is going. He'll pick the crane and check it on a free site visit.

Whitsunday Islands
Lifts on the resort islands.
Airlie Beach
Our home patch, close to the yard.
Proserpine to Bowen
Across the rest of the region.
